Michael T. Mulligan, M.D.

Michael T. Mulligan, MD is a board eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in reconstructive and arthroscopic procedures of the upper extremity. He has particular interest and experience in treating patients who suffer from hand, wrist and elbow trauma, including complex fractures, ligament ruptures, joint stiffness and instability. He has expertise in microvascular surgery, congenital hand deformities as well as mini-open and endoscopic carpal tunnel release.

As an Albany native, Dr. Mulligan has deep roots within the Capital Region. He obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees through the combined medical education program at Union College and Albany Medical College. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Albany Medical Center and received his fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Mulligan is a candidate member of the following professional societies:

• American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons
• American Society for Surgery of the Hand

Dr. Mulligan serves as an assistant professor at Albany Medical College and is affiliated with Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, Albany Memorial Hospital and the Capital Region Ambulatory Surgery Center.
