Robert A. Cheney Dr. Robert Cheney joined Capital Region Orthopaedics in 1996, and specializes in general orthopaedics. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Cheney is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Cheney is an associate clinical instructor with the department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Albany Medical Center. Dr. Cheney has numerous memberships in professional societies, and is affiliated with the following groups:
He received his medical degree from the University of Vermont, College of Medicine. Dr. Cheney's postgraduate work included an internship at Maine Medical Center, Dept. of Surgery. He completed his residency training at Akron General Medical Center and Children's Medical Center, Hospital of Akron. He completed his fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital with the department of Orthopaedic Surgery Spine Division. Dr. Cheney sees patients at Capital Region Spine.
